Dr. Samson Hadush – Visiting Faculty
Dr. Samson Hadush is a power system economist with over a decade of experience at the intersection of economics, regulation, and power system planning. He supports evidence-based policymaking, regulatory reform, and market development across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa—addressing challenges including power market design, market and renewable integration at national and regional level. He collaborates with regulators, utilities, international organizations, and academic institutions to design market strategies and policy-aligned investment plans. With hands-on expertise in tools like PLEXOS, he ensures that policy decisions are grounded in rigorous technical and economic analysis.
He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Science from KU Leuven, Belgium and a joint master’s in economics and management of network Industries (EMIN) from universities in Madrid, Delft, and Paris.
