Financial Modelling for Power
Project Finance

This course teaches you to predict and balance financial variables to produce detailed and insightful
financial models, conduct sensitivity analyses, and leverage financial models to inform investment
decision-making. Using this knowledge, you will be able to identify opportunities for growth for your
organisation while mitigating risk.

Dr. Wikus Kruger

Director, Power Futures Lab

Director of the Power Futures Lab and research lead on power sector investment in sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Kruger's research focuses on accelerating renewable energy investment through structured procurement programmes such as auctions. With 14 years of experience in the African energy sector, he holds a PhD from UCT, an MSc from Antwerp University, and multiple degrees from Stellenbosch University.

Haydn Palliser is a Lecturer at Yale and Columbia Universities, and a Principal at Pivotal180 — a firm focused on training and advisory in the energy, infrastructure, and project finance sectors. With 18 years in the industry, Haydn has a global outlook having worked across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, and Asia Pacific. His particular expertise lies in simplifying complex topics with best-practice financial modelling. He was previously Managing Director for Corality and co-head of infrastructure and energy for Mazars in the Americas.
